INSTALL instructions: OK, there are two ways of installing this: [1 less complicated] [2 more complicated] [1 less complicated] (GUI Installer) - "wget http://guerila.com/stefan/buzzwinehowto/buzz_base_install.exe" (2.8MB) - "wine buzz_base_install.exe" or "winex3 buzz_base_install.exe" - Install Buzz wherever you wish, and delete it again. It doesn't have all the plugins, but the installer fixes system32/registry stuff... - "tar xvfz Galez_Buzz_Massive_Pack_4_Linux_Wine_March2k4.tar.gz" - "cd Buzz" - "wine buzz.exe" or "winex3 buzz.exe" - If this doesn't work, mail me, please. [2 more complicated] (Who needs a GUI? WARNING: Could break existing wine installations) - "tar xvfz Galez_Buzz_Massive_Pack_4_Linux_Wine_March2k4.tar.gz" - "cd Buzz" - If you've never run wine before, run "wine buzz.exe" or "winex3 buzz.exe". This will produce some error output and it creates default config files as well as a windows directory. Enter "quit" to leave the Wine debugger. - Find your "windows" directory and cd into the "system32" subdir there. - Delete a file called mfc42.dll or MFC42.dll - Move the 2 files from Buzz/system32/ to windows/system32 - "wine buzz.exe" or "winex3 buzz.exe" - If this doesn't work, mail me, and maybe i'll write back :) *** Galez_Buzz_Massive_Pack_4_Linux_Wine_March2k4.tar.gz High there :) This tree was originally created using this howto: http://guerila.com/stefan/buzzwinehowto/ Unfortunately, the Starters Pack didn't have all the machines the Massive Pack has. It took me a couple of hours to copy over all the plugins from there and carefully modify the index.txt so Buzz wouldn't crash anymore. It's 2 AM and I'm done! You get: - All the shit from the Buzzmachines Massive Pack (Well, the tutorial's broken but who needs that ;9) - Some additional samples What you don't get: - VST Plugins are supported but not included Check out http://www.galez.org/buzz for updates. Mirrors highly appreciated! Your humble servant, Alpenjon (alp@galez.org)
